COVER TEACHER MPS Required as soon as possible
We are looking to recruit a qualified teacher to provide teaching cover across curriculum areas within the school. Applicants should be committed to delivering quality cover lessons for our students to ensure their continued subject progress in the absence of their usual teacher. Candidates will be required to provide quality teaching for ad hoc absences as well as providing subject stability for students if longer term cover is required which will include the full duties of a teacher. This role will be an integrated member of the teaching staff with access to CPD training opportunities.

SCHOOL STAFF INSTRUCTOR (SSI) 1 DAY PER WEEK (Thursday)
£10.34 per hour
We are looking to recruit an SSI for our newly formed Combined Cadet Force (CCF) which became operational in September 2019. The role, which initially will be for a fixed term period of 12 months, is for 1 day per week with the opportunity to claim an MOD Cadet Force Volunteer allowance for up to 51 days of additional time. Applicants should have a Service background or Cadet Forces background and have flexibility to attend CCF camps, courses and evening activities as well as other school activities e.g. open evenings or parents’ evenings if required. This role could be combined with other posts currently advertised at the academy.
Scale D NJC 8-14 (£12,747-£14,356 actual salary)
27.9 hrs x 38 wks per year (8.30am – 3.05pm term-time plus 3 training days)
A cover supervisor is required to facilitate students’ learning in the absence of teachers. Applicants should have a strong commitment to supporting young people to learn, a willingness to develop learning materials and be able to create a good rapport with students. The ability to work on own initiative as well as within a team is essential. Training and support will be provided to undertake this role.
