It’s hard to believe that we have reached the end of the academic year – not only because it is raining and does not feel like the summer holidays but also the year has passed by very quickly and with so much fitted in.

The past 12 months have been filled with Duke of Edinburgh expeditions, sports fixtures, Ten Tors, Residential trips, team building events, university visits, work experience events, author visits, field trips, outings to theatres, museums, and not to forget the all-important end of year proms.

The experience in school has been equally rich; students have enjoyed great lessons, musical, dance and drama events, debating events, subject specific events and guest speaker’s really bringing learning to life.

I won’t go on about all our achievements as you can read about them in our extravaganza magazine which is available on our website following this link:

After 18 months of fundraising, planning and preparation, We waved goodbye to our 5 students embarking upon the trip of a lifetime to Borneo. Mr Power is accompanying our students who will be undertaking conservation work through the camps international programme. After a long trip, students arrived and have joined their group for the next 3 weeks. Our facebook page will provide regular updates but we look forward to hearing all about it on their return.

All that is left for me to say is that I wish all our parents/carers, staff and students a lovely summer break and I look forward to welcoming everyone back safely in September.
